Rock Creek Anglers is a well-established fly-fishing guide service located in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. We lead highly professional guided fishing adventures on world-class waters in both Wyoming and Montana. Each trout fishing season, we base our headquarters in Saddlestring, Wyoming, ten miles northwest of the town of Buffalo, on the property of the historic HF Bar guest ranch. We coordinate guided trips from a local that provides access to a tremendous array of world class fly-fishing destinations such as Montana’s Bighorn River and Wyoming’s North Platte. Between these fabled western rivers lie a tremendous array of small streams that  Rock Creek Anglers pays particular attention to. These blue-ribbon quality private-water wade fishing destinations have been attracting generations of anglers to the Bighorns since 1992.

Guided Fishing 


Rock Creek Anglers offers the best of the Bighorn Mountains. We lead guided float fishing trips on the both the Bighorn and North Platte rivers as well as a myriad of private water wade fishing locations that encompass the tributaries of the lower Yellowstone River. Our wadable options are absolutely unique and so special that our guide staff refers to these fisheries as “the superlative creeks.” They set the standard for small creek wade fishing opportunities in the Rocky Mountain West.

Rod and Gun Shop 


The Rock Creek Rod and Gun Shop is a ramshackle fly shop on the banks of Wyoming’s Rock Creek. More a bar than a true fly shop, the charming and rustic atmosphere exudes a vibe that embraces those who are passionate about the pursuit of sport, or those who want to stop in for a libation, listen to live music or hear stories of the one that got away. The rod and gun shop is where you will find all the necessary tools, accessories and advice on everything that is the sporting life. Sign up for a guided fishing adventure or reserve a time-slot on one of six shotgun shooting sporting clays courses lead by a staff of two National Sporting Clays Association shotgun shooting instructors.

The HF Bar Ranch, situated in a pristine valley on 9000 acres bordering Wyoming’s Bighorn National Forest, is the second oldest guest ranch in America and arguably the largest. The Ranch has received placement on the National Register of Historic Places along with being named one of the “1,000 Places to See Before You Die”. Unlike many “dude” ranches the HF Bar Ranch is in a class of it’s own in both distinction and character.
